Taylors Very Very Old Tawny Port In Luxury Decanter

Available on 3-5 working days delivery.

Few wines can claim to encapsulate nearly a century of history in a single bottle. Taylor's Very Very Old Tawny Port is an exceptionally rare release, crafted from some of the oldest and most treasured casks resting in the producer's lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia. Selected from tiny reserves that have matured for generations, this remarkable blend represents the culmination of decades of patience, expertise and tradition.

Presented in an elegant luxury decanter, VVOP is a Port of extraordinary distinction. Every bottle offers a glimpse into the past, showcasing the remarkable transformation that occurs when great wines are allowed to evolve slowly in oak over many decades.

  • An appearance of rich walnut and antique mahogany tones shine from the glass, softened by luminous amber highlights and a delicate golden edge. Its appearance immediately signals the wine's exceptional age and concentration, revealing the beauty that only time can create.
  • Deeply complex and captivating, the bouquet unfolds layer by layer. Aromas of dried dates, fig conserve and toasted almonds mingle with notes of orange marmalade, honeycomb and roasted coffee. Hints of polished wood, sweet spice and vanilla linger beneath the surface, creating an aromatic profile that is both intricate and effortlessly elegant.
  • The palate combines remarkable richness with surprising vitality. Silky textures carry flavours of caramelised nuts, dried apricots, toffee and candied citrus peel, all balanced by a vibrant freshness that prevents the wine from ever feeling heavy. The harmony between sweetness, acidity and maturity is truly exceptional, reflecting the skill required to create such an aged blend.
  • Long, refined and seemingly endless, the finish evolves gracefully with notes of spice, dried fruit, espresso and delicate oak. The wine's concentration continues to reveal itself long after the final sip, leaving a lasting impression of sophistication, balance and depth.

Serve lightly chilled and enjoy slowly from a fine glass. Equally impressive as a standalone after-dinner indulgence or paired with creme brulee, walnut tart, roasted almonds or dried fruits.
