Pierro Vineyards Fire Gully Chardonnay
Pierro Chardonnay is one of Margaret River’s benchmark expressions of the variety, produced from one of Australia’s pioneering high-density vineyards. Founded by Dr Mike Peterkin in 1980, Pierro quickly established a reputation for combining meticulous vineyard practices with a restrained, Burgundian-inspired approach to winemaking.
Careful hand harvesting, whole bunch pressing and extended barrel maturation contribute texture and complexity, while preserving the purity and precision of the fruit. The result is a richly layered Chardonnay with freshness, structure and remarkable balance.
- Bright pale gold with youthful green reflections. Expressive aromas of pineapple, honeydew melon, lemon and green apple layered with subtle toast, cream and delicate oak spice.
- Rich yet focused, showing ripe orchard and tropical fruit balanced by citrus freshness. Creamy texture and gentle lees influence add depth, while restrained oak supports the wine without dominating.
- Long, refined and persistent, with lingering citrus, stone fruit and subtle toasted notes.
An excellent partner for roast chicken, lobster, creamy seafood dishes or wild mushroom risotto.
