Maker's Mark Star Hill Farm Whisky 2025 Inaugural Release

In 2015, the Maker’s Mark team set themselves a new mission: explore the deep, natural influences of wheat, wood, and water on flavour. The result? Star Hill Farm Whisky, a new and evolving expression from the Star Hill Farm distillery in Loretto, Kentucky. The same grounds that Maker’s Mark has called home for generations.

Created without corn for the very first time in the distillery’s history, Star Hill Farm Whisky is made entirely from soft red winter wheat and malted barley. This inaugural release is a marriage of two mashbills - one featuring 70% soft red winter wheat and 30% malted barley, and another using 100% malted soft red winter wheat. Bottled at an impressive 57.35%.

• The nose opens with inviting aromas of warm honey-drizzled porridge, toasted sourdough, and soft baking spices, layered with subtle notes of caramel and earthy grain.
• On the palate, it’s smooth and full-bodied, with a natural sweetness from the wheat leading into flavours of toffee, vanilla cream, and honeycomb. As it develops, baked apple, nutmeg, and malted biscuit come to the fore, adding both warmth and depth.
• The finish is long and gently spiced, carried by toasted oak, a hint of white pepper, and lingering dried apricot.
