A prestigious Pinot Noir from Aloxe-Corton in Burgundy's Cote de Beaune. It is a unique blend of fruit from several Corton Grand Cru vineyards owned by Domaine Louis Latour.
The blend includes Bressandes, Perrieres, Greves, Clos du Roi and Chaumes, with proportions varying by vintage. The vines average over 40 years old and are planted on marl and limestone soils.
- The nose shows blackberry, pepper and earthy undergrowth with a distinctly spicy character.
- The palate is full and suave, combining cherry and liquorice with dark coffee notes.
- Fine structure and fresh acidity carry the wine into a long, persistent finish.
