Julien Brocard is known for growing biodynamic Chardonnay in Chablis from old vines rooted in Kimmeridgian limestone. This Premier Cru site, Cote de Lechet, gives the wine its signature mineral edge. Julien began converting the family estate to biodynamic in 1998 and launched his own label in 2012.
This cuvée is fermented with native yeasts and aged on lees for 16 months. The result is a precise, expressive white Burgundy with real depth. The vines are over 30 years old and yields are low, concentrating flavour and character. This is a serious Chablis with ageing potential and a clear sense of place.
