Joseph Drouhin Macon Lugny Les Crays 2024
A distinctive white Burgundy showcasing Chardonnay from the Mâconnais in southern France. The Les Crays vineyard sits around 300 metres above sea level, with western exposure and Jurassic clay and chalk soils contributing freshness and mineral character.
The wine is fermented and aged using stainless steel vats and large oak barrels, balancing vibrant fruit with a rounded texture while preserving the character of the vineyard.
- The nose reveals white flowers and ripe peach, supported by fresh citrus notes.
- The palate brings lemon, grapefruit and stone fruit, balanced by a creamy texture and lively acidity.
- A mineral, gently saline finish adds freshness and persistence.
Enjoy it with grilled fish, roast chicken, goats cheese or creamy vegetable dishes.
