Herencia Altes Garnatxa Blanca Trementinaire Orange Wine

This Spanish orange wine comes from Terra Alta, made from Garnatxa Blanca grown in a high-altitude continental Mediterranean climate. It is produced by Herencia Altes, a family estate founded by Nuria Altes to honour generations of growers in Batea.

Hand-harvested grapes ferment with wild yeasts and remain on skins for four weeks, following traditional skin-contact methods. The wine then ages for twenty four months in well-used oak barrels, allowing gentle oxidation without dominating the grape’s character. Only four thousand bottles have been produced.
