Produced in years when Fonseca does not declare a classic vintage. Guimaraens vintage ports are blended from the finest grapes of the Cruzeiro and Santo Antonio estates in the Pinhao Valley, along with Quinta do Panascal. These ports are approachable when young. Offering excellent early drinking, while still possessing the depth to age beautifully in the bottle.
- A vibrant magenta rim encircles an opaque, nearly black core
- The nose bursts with intense woodland berries, rich cassis, blackberry, and wild strawberries. As the wine evolves, delicate apricot notes surface. Followed by warm hints of cedar, spice, dark chocolate, and Fonseca's signature opulent fruit
- On the palate, complementing lush berry flavours are wild herbs, star anise, raspberry leaf, cocoa nibs, and a touch of tangerine peel
- Its silky texture masks firm, well-knit tannins that emerge on the finish, providing a satisfying grip
