David & Nadia are one of the most exciting producers in Swartland right now. A husband and wife team obsessive about terroir and with a minimum intervention approach to winemaking. They focus on organic viticulture from the old, dry land bush vines for which the region is now famous.
David & Nadia Aristargos is a Swartland field blend of up to eight different grape varieties - depending on the vintage - of which Chenin Blanc makes up around half the blend. The grapes are sourced from a range of unique soils in the Swarland area, whole-bunch pressed, naturally fermented, and then the wine is matured in old French oak barrels for around 12 months.
The wine has a wonderfully fresh white fruit character, with a mix of enticing floral and spice aromas, amazing texture and intensity on the palate, and a zesty finish.
