Matic Mea Pet Nat Natural Sparkling Wine

This natural sparkling wine comes from the Stajerska region in north-eastern Slovenia, near the borders of Austria and Hungary. It is made by Matija Zerjav, known as Matic, who farms nine hectares of old family vineyards using biodynamic and organic methods. The wine is crafted from 43-year-old Sipon vines and fermented in clay amphorae with native yeasts. It is bottled during fermentation using the ancestral method, resulting in a gentle, natural fizz. The style is dry, fresh and expressive, with no added sulphur and minimal intervention. It is great match for grilled seafood, creamy risottos or a cheese board shared with friends.
