Akashi Sake is produced by the Akashi Shuzo Brewery. A family-owned sake maker located in the city of Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Established in 1912, the brewery has a long history of crafting high-quality sake with traditional methods.
- Akashi Sake Honjozo Tokubetsu Gohyakumangoku has subtle aromas of rice and light floral notes with a hint of green apple.
- Smooth and clean with a dry, slightly umami-rich flavour profile. The Gohyakumangoku rice brings out a delicate balance of sweetness and dryness, with a refreshing finish.
The sake’s dryness and crisp finish balance the smoky richness of grilled mackerel, cutting through its oiliness. Its smooth, subtle sweetness also enhances the delicate flavours of fresh fish and sushi.
