A sweetly crafted violet gin liqueur made with Gin from Manchester artisan micro-distillery, Zymurgorium. Made with sweet violets, Zymurgorium Sweet Violet Gin tastes just like the Parma violet sweets of your youth. Crafted using gin made from British juniper and over twenty botanicals.
Sweet violets were said to have been a gift from Zeus, the king of the Greek pantheon, as a comfort to Io (eye-oh), whom he loved but had to turn into a heifer to save her from the wrath of Heras!
Sweet violets have a unique sweet pastel taste and a strong violet scent. Zymurgorium Sweet Violet Gin Liqueur has an incredible Parma violet flavour with a strong gin presence and does not taste syrupy, which is sometimes the case with a gin liqueur.
It can be used as a substitute for Creme de Violette, enjoyed on its own or with lemonade, or added to ice cream or used in baking!
