Emma Bonarda 2022 is a distinctive Argentine red from Zuccardi, showcasing the character of Bonarda grown in Mendoza's high-altitude Uco Valley. The grapes come from Paraje Altamira and San Pablo, two sites known for their cool nights, significant temperature variation and calcareous alluvial soils. The 2022 vintage was fresh and balanced, helping preserve the grape's natural acidity.
The wine is fermented with native yeasts in concrete vessels, followed by extended maceration and malolactic fermentation. It is then aged in concrete, allowing the fruit and vineyard character to take centre stage without oak influence.
- The nose reveals blackberries and blueberries, supported by subtle herbal notes.
The palate is rounded, with ripe dark fruit and firm, mature tannins.
