Vilafonte Series C
This full-bodied red blend is made in South Africa’s Paarl-Simonsberg region, where ancient vilafontes soils produce low-yielding, concentrated fruit. Grapes are picked early for freshness and fermented in oak and steel. The wine is aged for 22 months in 68% new French oak, then bottled for long-term cellaring.
Vilafonte is a joint venture between Mike Ratcliffe, Zelma Long and Dr Phil Freese. Their focus is on Bordeaux-style blends with structure and longevity. Series C is Cabernet-led and built for ageing, with limited production and a reputation for polish and depth.
