Vega Sicilia Unico Reserva Especial 75cl
Vega Sicilia was established in 1864 on limestone slopes high above the Duero river. Its founder imported Bordeaux varieties to plant alongside the local Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and Garnacha. In doing so, he created the Super-Spaniard Unico.
This non vintage Unico Reserva Especial 2023 follows an old Spanish tradition and blends three top vintages of Unico: 2009, 2011 and 2012. Fruit is sourced from the 210 hectare Finca Vega Sicilia vineyard, planted at a density of 2,222 vines per hectare at altitudes of 700 to 900 metres.
Suitable for drinking now, but can age for decades if stored in the right conditions.
