Vega Sicilia Unico 2011

This exceptional Spanish red wine is the flagship of Vega Sicilia, crafted only in the finest vintages. A blend of Tinto Fino and Cabernet Sauvignon, it undergoes one of the longest ageing processes in the world—spending nearly a decade in oak and bottle. The result is a wine of immense depth, elegance, and longevity, ideal for pairing with refined dishes.

Vega Sicilia’s Unico is sourced from 40 hectares of the estate’s oldest vines in Ribera del Duero. The vineyards sit between limestone slopes and the Duero River’s alluvial plains, offering a mosaic of soils that contribute to the wine’s complexity. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats using native yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation in wood. The wine is aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels and large vats before bottling.
