The Hearach Isle of Harris Single Malt Whisky 70cl

The Hearach is the first single malt whisky released by Isle of Harris Distillery, located in Scotland’s remote Outer Hebrides. Produced using 100% Scottish Concerto barley and lightly peated local spirit, it reflects the island’s maritime climate and traditional whisky-making heritage. The distillery was founded in 2015 to support sustainable employment and preserve community life on Harris.

Matured in a combination of first-fill bourbon barrels, oloroso sherry butts and fino sherry casks, the whisky balances fruit, spice and gentle smoke. It is bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring.

• The nose shows heather honey, orchard fruit and vanilla with soft bonfire smoke and warming spice.
• The palate delivers malted biscuit, citrus peel and clotted cream balanced by gentle peat and oak richness.
• The finish is smooth and lingering with ginger spice, light smoke and subtle maritime salinity.

Serve neat or with a splash of water alongside smoked salmon, hard cheeses or dark chocolate desserts to highlight its balance and texture.
