This full-bodied red wine from Portugal’s Douro Valley blends Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Amarela. It shows ripe dark fruit, fine tannins and a smooth, warming finish. Aged in French oak, it’s structured and expressive, with excellent balance.
Produced by Quinta do Vesuvio, one of the Douro’s most historic estates, the wine comes from terraced vineyards surrounding the estate’s 19th-century dovecote. Grapes are hand-harvested and gravity-fed into fermenters. Traditional foot-treading in granite lagares is still used for some wines, preserving the estate’s heritage.
