Pussers Select Aged 151 Green Label British Navy Rum
Pussers Select Aged 151 Rum is a potent dark rum made to an original navy recipe and bottled at cask strength, as it was shipped to Royal Navy victualing yards across the UK for blending and dilution to proof.
It is made up of five different rums from the three Caribbean regions, the British Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Guyana, which are each aged for a minimum of three years. Pussers Navy Rum is named after the office in charge on deck, the purser. It is distilled in once used charred oak bourbon barrels in accordance with Admiralty regulations for rum in effect at the time that the Royal Navy discontinued its daily issue in 1970.
This elegant, fruity blended rum has aromas of apples, pears, toffee, and vanilla. The palate is soft and creamy with fruity notes of apples, plums, dates, and vanilla. A warm, spicy, and long-lasting finish.
