The Bin 2 Shiraz Mataro is a full bodied red made from grapes grown in Southern Australia.
Maturing this delightfully complex red for eight months in French oak (with 10% new wood) and American oak hogsheads. It was then left to rest in bottles for some time before leaving the cellars of the Penfolds Estate.
- Deep red in colour
- On the nose, aromatic blueberries, red fruit, perfumed cranberry and fresh pomegranate with a hint of spice
- On the palate, soft blue fruit jumps to the fore with textured tannins providing grip
- A fresh acidity and a long, full finish with just a little spice
Perfect paired with stewed meat and poultry with tomatoes, think beef or vegetarian ragout in red wine sauce, Basque chicken or veal roulade. Drink now until 2029.
