Penderyn Legend Single Malt Welsh Whisky
Penderyn revived Welsh whisky-making in the Brecon Beacons after more than a century. This single malt forms part of the Dragon range, first launched in 2015. It matures in ex-bourbon barrels, then gains depth from a finish in ex-Madeira wine casks. Bottled at 40% abv, it stays light, smooth and approachable. The updated bottle and lighter carton use less glass for better sustainability.
- Fresh apples and citrus mingle with cream fudge and sultana raisins on the nose.
- Smooth and delicate, sweet with dried fruits and a refreshing hint of bitterness.
- Finishes long, with lingering Madeira cake and sultanas.
Serve neat or with a splash of water to lift the fruit. Pair with apple crumble, roast pork or a wedge of Caerphilly cheese.
