Papa's Pilar Sherry Finish Rum

A luxurious dark rum that begins with an award-winning blend from the Caribbean, Central, and South America. This small-batch expression is then carefully matured in rare, 20-year-old Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks. The Sherry cask finishing adds depth, refinement, and an elegant structure, creating a uniquely sophisticated rum experience.

  • Papas Pilar Sherry Finish Rum has a rich mahogany hue with warm amber highlights. Nose reveals aromas of dried figs, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, and subtle Sherry sweetness.
  • Palate is smooth and layered with caramel, toffee, and spiced oak notes. Hints of raisins, orange peel, and delicate vanilla contribute to a rounded mouthfeel.
  • Long, elegant finish with Sherry-inspired nuttiness and refined spice. Full-bodied yet balanced, showcasing the depth of expertly aged dark rum.

The Ernest Hemingway Limited Edition Rum celebrates the adventurous spirit of the legendary writer.

The Bottle: A broad-shouldered and compact form that has strong historical ties to adventure, each bottle of Papa’s Pilar is fashioned after an authentic WWII canteen. A traditional screw top closure reinforces the canteen design with a compass-style top, different for the Blonde, Dark and Key West expressions.

Closure: The closures showcase compasses, inspired by Hemingway’s adventure on land, sea, and in Key West.

Side Label: Rum-sourcing and rum-making details are depicted on the side label in the interest of sharing the complex process.
