Award-winning aged rum from the Caribbean & Americas, multi-cask finished in Florida. Offers rich, smooth, oak-driven character & complexity.

  • Papas Pilar Dark Rum displays a deep mahogany colour with golden highlights. Nose reveals aromas of toffee, molasses, dried tropical fruits, and subtle oak spices.
  • Smooth and velvety palate with layered notes of vanilla, caramel, and warm baking spices. Balanced richness with hints of dark chocolate and toasted nuts.
  • Long, warming finish with bourbon-like oak character and lingering sweet spice.

Pairs beautifully with rich desserts such as chocolate cake, pecan pie, or caramel tarts. Also complements smoky barbeque meats, grilled pork, and spiced Caribbean dishes.

The Ernest Hemingway Limited Edition Rum celebrates the adventurous spirit of the legendary writer.

The Bottle: A broad-shouldered and compact form that has strong historical ties to adventure, each bottle of Papa’s Pilar is fashioned after an authentic WWII canteen. A traditional screw top closure reinforces the canteen design with a compass-style top, different for the Blonde, Dark and Key West expressions.

Closure: The closures showcase compasses, inspired by Hemingway’s adventure on land, sea, and in Key West.

Side Label: Rum-sourcing and rum-making details are depicted on the side label in the interest of sharing the complex process.
