From the hills surrounding Asti in Piedmont, Marchesi di Barolo is one of Italy’s most historic wine estates. Founded in 1807 and passed to the people of Barolo by its noble founders, the winery has been run by the Abbona family since the 1950s, who continue to uphold its legacy across the region.
Rure is made from 100% Barbera grapes grown on marl-clay soils with quartz sands and silt. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve freshness, followed by aging in large oak casks.
