A rare and distinctive single malt, created from hand-selected oak casks discovered by The Macallan’s Whisky Makers for their exceptional character. Each cask develops its own personality during maturation, but these particularly special casks reveal an intense sweet raisin character alongside remarkable richness and complexity.
- Deep ruby mahogany.
- Soft vanilla opens the aroma, followed by rich raisin and a sweet combination of fresh apple, lemon and orange.
- Intense sweet raisin dominates before developing into vanilla and dark chocolate, with delicate layers of citrus zest adding brightness.
- Long, rich and velvety, with lingering raisin sweetness, dark chocolate and gentle citrus.
Pair with dark chocolate truffles, rich chocolate desserts, sticky toffee pudding or mature blue cheese. It is also excellent alongside roasted nuts and dried fruits for a more restrained pairing.
