This refined red wine originates from South Africa’s Elgin Valley, a cool-climate region ideal for Pinot Noir. The vineyards are planted on Table Mountain sandstone soils and benefit from morning mist and maritime breezes, allowing slow ripening and flavour development. The wine is crafted with minimal intervention to preserve purity and elegance.
Lothian Vineyards is a family-run estate led by Gavin and Ewen Wilson, with winemaking overseen by Master of Wine Richard Kershaw. Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented using ambient yeasts, followed by ageing in French oak barrels (25% new) for eleven months. The result is a wine that reflects both site and vintage with precision.
