Leiper's Fork Bottled in Bond Bourbon
This small-batch bourbon comes from a craft distillery in Williamson County, Tennessee. Founded by Lee and Lynlee Kennedy, it fills every barrel from local, non-GMO grains. The corn is even grown on the family farm. It is pot distilled in a full-bodied, pre-Prohibition style, then bottled in bond at 50%. Wheat joins malted barley as the secondary grain, and it stays non-chill filtered.
- Chocolate pralines and fig rolls meet mellow old oak and toasted spice.
- Silky butterscotch on the palate, with sweet herbs, dried orange and red fruit.
- Maple granola, cinnamon and toffee to close, lifted by fresh mint.
Enjoy it neat or over a single large ice cube to open it up. It pairs nicely with pecan pie, glazed ham or a mature hard cheese.
