James Eadie 8 Year Old Islay Whisky

James Eadie is an independent whisky bottler with a focus on discovering distinctive casks from some of Scotland’s most respected distilleries. Rather than producing whisky under its own distillery name, the company searches out individual casks that showcase unique character, often highlighting styles and flavour profiles that can be missed in larger-scale releases.

Matured at Caol Ila Distillery for 8 years before being finished for six months in Palo Cortado Sherry casks. Bottled at an impressive 48.3% Abv with natural colouring and unchill filtered.

• Fresh coastal smoke leads the way on the nose, followed by lemon zest, sea spray and gentle oak. There are softer layers of nuttiness and sweetness underneath, giving the whisky more depth than a traditional young Islay expression.
• The palate is smoky, maritime and vibrant. As it develops, notes of citrus, toasted nuts, spice and subtle sherry richness appear, creating a balanced combination of peat and sweetness.
• The finish is clean and lingering, with gentle smoke, oak spice and a touch of coastal salinity. The Palo Cortado influence leaves behind a refined nuttiness that keeps you coming back for another sip.

If you like your whisky with a drop of water, at 48.3% ABV, it has enough strength to retain its character while offering flexibility depending on how you prefer your whisky.
