Hosmer Winery is home to Patrician Verona Vineyard established in 1972 on the western shore of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York. The vines are planted on silt loam soils on a shale bedrock.
Hosmer Dry Riesling has a nice weight to it, akin to the Alsace style. On the nose, the wine has beautiful rose petal and lime blossom florals, leading on to an interesting medley of lime pith, pineapple and mandarin on the palate.
A great match for garlic roasted pork chops, lemon shrimp pasta, fresh oysters or buttered scallops.
