Gonzalez Byass Del Duque VORS 30 Year Old Amontillado Sherry

The Palomino grapes for Del Duque begin their journey as Tio Pepe Fino. After fermentation to 11–12% ABV, the wine is fortified to 15.5% and placed into the Tio Pepe Fino solera, where a protective layer of flor develops, giving the wine its distinctive character.

It rests under flor for a minimum of 4 years, before being transferred to a young amontillado solera for a further 6 years as the flor naturally fades. Finally, at around 10 years of age, the wine enters the Del Duque solera, where it spends at least 20 additional years maturing in full contact with oxygen.

With over 30 years of aging, Del Duque achieves the prestigious VORS classification, showcasing remarkable depth, elegance, and complexity.
