First licensed in 1836, Glenfarclas is the oldest family-owned distillery in Speyside with the Grant family taking ownership in 1865, now in their sixth generation. John Grant OBE, chairman of Glenfarclas Distillery, added: “Celebrating 190 years of distilling at Glenfarclas is a proud moment. As custodians for six generations, our commitment to producing the finest single malt whiskies using traditional methods remains steadfast.”.
Family has always been an integral part of the Speyside distillery, even down to their cask selection where they have continued to use the same family-run bodega for decades.
- On the nose you are greeted with notes of toffee, green apple, sweet sherry and vanilla.
- The palate is rich and powerful with notes of dried fruits, Christmas cake and more sherried sweetness that is unmistakably, Glenfarclas.
- The finish is long, peppery with dark chocolate and figs throughout.
Bottled at 51.4% ABV this limited-edition single malt is the perfect ending chapter to an incredible trilogy. Limited to 15,000 bottles globally.
