This intriguing Speyside single malt offers a fresh perspective on cask influence and wood character. Distilled by The GlenAllachie Distillery and aged for seven years, this expression is part of Batch 3 of their Virgin Oak Series.

Initially matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, the whisky is then transferred for around 18 months to rare Hungarian virgin oak casks sourced from the Zemplen Forest.

Located in northeast Hungary near the Tokaj wine region, this forest grows oak trees slowly due to its volcanic soil and high-altitude climate. The resulting tight-grained wood imparts exceptional spice and texture. This dual maturation method enhances the whisky’s complexity, bringing forward vivid oak tones, berry fruit sweetness, and refined spice. The result is a limited edition single malt that showcases both innovation and tradition.
