Garavogue 20 Year Old Irish Whiskey

This 20 year old single malt originates from Hawk’s Rock Distillery in County Sligo, Ireland. Master Blender Helen Mulholland, first female in her role in Irish whiskey, designed this limited-edition release.

The spirit is double-distilled and matured for 14 years in ex-bourbon American oak casks. It is then finished for at least six years in Muscat, Sauternes, Pedro Ximenez sherry and Barbadian rum casks. Bottled at 47 % ABV, with natural colour and no chill filtration noted.

• Garavogue 20 Year Old Irish Whiskey begins with aromas of vanilla, warm peach, spun sugar from the Sauternes, plus floral and raisin from Muscat and PX sherry.
• On the palate there is buttery ripe apples, fresh citrus, sweet vanilla and juicy fruit, balanced by oak spice and rum cask warmth.
• The finish lingers with lingering fruit sweetness, gentle spice and oak, with layered raisins and soft florals to close.

Serve neat or with a splash of water to reveal more fruit and floral layers. Pair with buttery desserts, stone fruits or mild cheeses to complement the vanilla, citrus and raisin character.
