Crazy Javali Tinto
This light-bodied red from Portugal's Douro Valley is made from a field blend of native grape varieties. It’s bright, fresh and low in alcohol, with vibrant red fruit and crisp acidity. Biodynamically farmed and naturally fermented, it’s a lively, easy-drinking wine. Best with cured meats and roasted vegetables.
Produced by Quinta do Javali, a family-run estate in Ervedosa do Douro, the wine comes from the western plot of Clos Fonte do Santo. Vines are around 20 years old and grown on schist soils at 550–700m altitude. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts, and ageing takes place in concrete tanks.
