Crazy Javali Tinto

Crazy Javali Tinto comes from the western plot of the “Clos Fonte do Santo” vineyard, the largest in the area, located in the charming village of Ervedosa do Douro. The vines here are about 20 years old and the vineyard is carefully farmed using biodynamic practices.

True to tradition in the Douro Valley, this wine is made from a field blend of native Portuguese grape varieties, growing on steep hillsides with schist soil, at altitudes ranging from 550 to 700 meters, facing northeast.

• The aroma is dominated by fresh red fruits like strawberries, raspberries, and gooseberries, and the wine really comes to life as it "talks" to you in the glass, evolving with time.
• On the palate, the wine feels light and youthful, offering a refreshing, easy-drinking experience at just 11% alcohol, perfect for a laid-back, enjoyable sip.

The wine’s lightness and red fruit flavours go wonderfully with a selection of cured meats like prosciutto, chorizo, or salami, balancing the richness of the meats.

Pair it with roasted root vegetables like beets, carrots, or sweet potatoes, as the wine’s refreshing acidity enhances the natural sweetness and earthiness of the veggies.
