Chateau Clarke 2005

Owned by the Edmond de Rothschild family since 1973, Château Clarke is renowned for producing elegant, Merlot-led wines that combine richness, structure and remarkable ageing potential. After nearly two decades of careful bottle ageing, the 2005 vintage has developed superb complexity while retaining the freshness and balance that define this historic Left Bank estate.

Produced from predominantly Merlot with Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is matured in French oak barrels, allowing layers of dark fruit, cedar and spice to integrate beautifully over time. Now entering a wonderful stage of maturity, it offers collectors and enthusiasts a rare opportunity to enjoy a classic Bordeaux at its peak.

• The nose reveals aromas of blackcurrant, plum and black cherry, complemented by cedar, cigar box, leather, graphite and sweet baking spice.
