Boschendal Grande Syrah
This full-bodied red wine Syrah from South Africa’s Stellenbosch region is bold and expressive. It shows dark fruit, pepper and oak spice, with a seamless texture and elegant structure. Aged 15 months in French oak and blended in foudre, it’s crafted from handpicked grapes grown on granite soils.
Produced by Boschendal, one of South Africa’s oldest estates, the wine comes from a single vineyard on the south-facing slopes of the Helderberg Mountains. Grapes are hand-sorted, fermented with Rhone-style yeast, and aged in 500L barrels before final blending. Only 10 barrels were produced.
