Bivrost Seidr Whisky

The second whisky in the Bivrost core range of Arctic Single Malt Whiskies, following Bivrost Yggdrasil and taking the distillery's house style in a warmer, more spice-driven direction.

Where Yggdrasil represents the foundation of Bivrost's whisky style, Seidr explores a richer and more experimental expression of Arctic single malt. The whisky is initially matured in first-fill bourbon casks before being finished in Brazilian Amburana wood, bringing together the fruity character of Bivrost's spirit with honey, cinnamon and aromatic spice.

• Inviting aromas of honey and vanilla lead into layers of tropical fruit, warm cinnamon and aromatic wood. Subtle almond and dried herb notes add further depth to the nose.
• Rich, rounded and gently sweet. Vanilla, honey and ripe tropical fruit form the core of the whisky before cinnamon and warm baking spices gradually build. Almond and soft aromatic wood add further complexity without overpowering the fruit.
• Long, warming and smooth, with lingering cinnamon and sweet spice followed by a gentle touch of aromatic wood.

Bottled at 48% ABV with 3000 bottles released globally. The rich sweetness and warm spice of Seidr make it particularly well suited to richer desserts and strongly flavoured cheeses. Try it alongside dark chocolate, cinnamon desserts, sticky toffee pudding, spiced apple tart or roasted nuts
