Three Crows Syrah
This medium-bodied Syrah from Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, is made from hand-harvested fruit grown in the Bridge Pa wine district. It’s structured, savoury and fruit-driven, with chalky tannins and a long, earthy finish. Whole cluster inclusion adds verticality and depth, while ageing in French oak brings subtle spice.
Three Crows is a collaboration between winemaker Rod McDonald and Master of Wine Liam Steevenson. The wine is fermented with a mix of destemmed and whole clusters, then aged in French oak barriques (43% new) for 18 months. The result is a Syrah with freshness, complexity and ageing potential.
