This Syrah-led red blend is crafted in South Africa’s Swartland region, using fruit from Porseleinberg and Goldmine vineyards. The wine is fermented with whole berries and aged for up to 18 months in mostly used French oak. Presented in a Methuselah (6L) format, it’s ideal for collectors and large gatherings, offering extended ageing potential due to its size.
Produced by Boekenhoutskloof, one of South Africa’s most respected wineries, The Chocolate Block is a cult favourite. The blend includes Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier. The Methuselah format is numbered and released in limited quantities.
