SPOKE Rudimental Pinot Noir
The Glover family of Dillon’s Point, Marlborough, New Zealand, has been farming this land for four generations. In the 1980s, Owen and Wendy Glover planted the first vines, and today the estate is led by acclaimed winemaker Ben Glover.
Grown on the western shores of Lake Dunstan in Central Otago, where loess over schist soils and low rainfall produce concentrated, minerally fruit. Grapes are partially destemmed, fermented with wild yeasts, and aged 10 months in French barriques and puncheons (11% new). Creating a wine that is minimally manipulated yet expressive.
- Spoke Rudimental Pinot Noir is aromatic and inviting, the nose offers rose petals, ripe cherry, and hints of cedar.
- On the palate, layers of bright red fruits are complemented by wild thyme and chalky earthiness. Underpinned by supple but assertive tannins.
- The texture is long and detailed, showcasing Pinot Noir’s finesse and the vineyard’s distinctive terroir.
Spoke Pinot Noir is certified Organic with minimal intervention.
