Domaine Rolly Gassmann is based in Rorschwihr, a village in Alsace known for its limestone-rich soils. The family has made wine here since the 17th century, with the domaine formally established in 1967. Their Riesling is grown on marl, clay and limestone soils, using biodynamic and organic methods.
Pierre Gassmann harvests late to achieve full ripeness, fermenting with wild yeasts and ageing each plot separately. The wine is made in a slightly off-dry style, with vibrant fruit and balanced acidity.
