Kleine Zalze Vineyard Selection Chenin Blanc has intensity, complexity, balance, and ageing potential of a fine wine, all for a very reasonable price.

The wine greets you with aromas of fresh pineapple, white peach, toast and nutmeg. On the palate, the result of extended maceration and lees ageing become immediately apparent with a burst of riper peach and apricot, rich lemon curd and beeswax, and great tension resulting from the high acidity and minerality in the wine. The complex flavour spectrum continues to reveal itself on the palate, with a dry, fresh finish.

A wine that is sensational right now, but also capable of at least a decade of cellar ageing.

Enjoyable on its own, but certainly a food wine. Would pair very well with grilled fish or chicken, lobster, pork or vegetable casserole, and a wide array of cheeses.
