This Grand Cru Chardonnay is grown on the right bank of the Serein River in Chablis, above the vineyard of Bougros. Joseph Drouhin was one of the first Burgundy producers to invest in Chablis after phylloxera, acquiring top sites including Les Preuses.
The vineyard sits on Kimmeridgian limestone, rich in marine fossils, which gives the wine its distinctive mineral character. Farming is biodynamic and the wine is aged for 12 to 15 months in used oak barrels.
