Founded in 1859, Gaja is one of Italy’s most iconic wine producers, credited with elevating Barbaresco to global acclaim. The estate is located in the heart of Piemonte and has pioneered modern winemaking in the region, including the use of barriques and single-vineyard bottlings. Gaja produces Barbaresco exclusively from estate-grown Nebbiolo, blending fruit from 14 vineyards to create a wine of depth and elegance.
Vinification includes temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing in a combination of barriques and large oak casks. Gaja Barbaresco is known for its longevity and refinement, with each vintage showcasing the estate’s mastery of Nebbiolo.
