Chateau Chantalouette Pomerol

Produced by Chateau de Sales, the largest estate in Pomerol. Chateau Chantalouette is the property’s second wine and benefits from over five centuries of family ownership and winemaking expertise. The estate lies in the north-western part of Pomerol, where gravel and sandy soils produce elegant and expressive wines.

The 47-hectare vineyard is planted on fine gravel and sand, with vines averaging over 30 years old, all harvested by hand. The blend comprises 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Traditional fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled concrete tanks, followed by three weeks of maceration and 18 months’ maturation in a mix of casks and vats to enhance structure and complexity.
