Crafted in South Africa, this Burgundy-style Chardonnay reflects the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley's cool-climate terroir. Ataraxia, founded by Kevin Grant, is celebrated for minimalist, soil-driven winemaking that champions authenticity over artifice.
Fermented and aged for 11 months in French oak barriques, including 17% new wood, it employs a rare Burgundian “Black Chardonnay” method. This approach enhances stability and depth while preserving vibrant fruit and minerality.
