Alheit Vineyards Cartology
This iconic South African white blend combines Chenin Blanc and Semillon from old bush vines across the Western Cape. The vineyards, many over 40 years old, are dry-farmed and deeply rooted in diverse soils, producing fruit of exceptional concentration and character.
Grapes are hand-sorted, whole-bunch pressed and fermented with wild yeasts in neutral vessels, including concrete eggs and old foudres. The wine matures on lees for 12 months, then rests in tank for five months, creating remarkable depth and purity.
