Penderyn Serpent's Tears Whisky

Inspired by ancient myth and coastal legend, Penderyn Serpent’s Tears is the first peated single malt whisky from the Penderyn Lloyd Street distillery in Llandudno, North Wales.

The whisky takes its name from the Great Orme, a dramatic headland that once appeared to Norse longships as a “great serpent” rising from the sea. Crafted and matured just beneath this mythical landscape, Serpent’s Tears is a fittingly bold dram. A milestone whisky release from Wales’ most celebrated whisky maker.

• Penderyn Serpent’s Tears opens with the crisp scent of dry autumn leaves, gentle orchard fruits, and a comforting note of wood smoke. Think logs crackling on a fire. Creamy undertones and hints of toasted bread round out the nose.
• On the palate, there’s a beautiful balance of sweet peat and vanilla cream. Favours of baked apple, sugared pancake edges, and subtle spice.
• A touch of clove and pepper brings warmth, while the finish lingers with barley sweetness and soft, glowing peat.
