Glenfarclas 1987 Family Cask #3831 31 Year Old Refill Sherry Butt Whisky

Part of the Glenfarclas Family Cask Series. A 31 year old single malt was released in the winter of 2018 and was distilled in 1987. From cask number: 3831 drawn from a refill sherry butt with only 588 bottles, bottled at 46% ABV this is a whisky not to miss.

One family own and have been managing Glenfarclas since 1865, the Grants of Glenfarclas. On the 8th of June 1865 John Grant acquired the tenancy for the Rechlerich Farm and as part of the transaction purchased the Glenfarclas Distillery for £511.19s.0d.

To this day Glenfarclas is one of only a few distilleries in Scotland to remain family owned and managed. Now in the hands of the fifth generation of the family. Grants remain committed to the vision of creating the best quality Highland single malt Scotch whisky, in the Speyside style.
