Glenfarclas 15 Year Old Decanter 105 British Proof - 5th and Final Release of the Decanter Series

The Glenfarclas Decanter Series began in 2022 as a five-year project celebrating the five generations of the Grant family who have owned and operated the distillery since 1865. Each annual release was chosen to offer something unusual, creating a collection that reflects the history and character of this family-owned Speyside distillery.

This release was matured for a full 15 years in one first fill Oloroso sherry butt. Using a single cask gives the whisky a distinctive identity, with the sherry influence shaping its rich fruit, dark sweetness and warming character.

Bottled at its natural cask strength of 60% ABV, equivalent to 105 British proof, the whisky retains its full intensity. It is presented at natural colour, without added colouring, allowing the character developed during maturation to speak for itself.

• Rich aromas of raspberries, oranges and tangerines lead into deeper notes of dark chocolate, brown sugar and sherry soaked oak.
• Powerful and robust on the front of the tongue, with a creamy, oily texture. The aftertaste develops into dates, pecan nuts and caramelised apples, bringing together dried fruit, nuttiness and rich sweetness.
• Extremely long and powerful, with hints of liquorice and black pepper spice, a touch of cocoa and sweet sherried Seville oranges.

Presented in a Glencairn crystal decanter, it brings together the character of the whisky and the collectible appeal of the Decanter Series. With only 600 decanters available worldwide, it is a rare opportunity for enthusiasts of Glenfarclas and sherry matured Scotch whisky.
